Items we do not accept

Donate goods to Habitat for Humanity ReStore to clear clutter and make a difference. Greater Cleveland Habitat ReStore accepts new and gently used appliances, furniture, building materials, household goods and more from individuals and companies.​

Ways to donate your item(s)

Schedule a FREE pickup​​

  • Items must be located outside of the home or in a garage/covered area or a storage unit.

  • At times, a 2-3 week wait period before our trucks can pick up your donated items.

  • No associated cost.

  • We can only accept items that fit our donation guidelines.

Schedule a PRIORITY pickup​​

  • Greater Cleveland Habitat has partnered with third-party logistics company ReSupply to help facilitate picking up donations.

  • Pickups within 48-72 hours.

  • Items of ANY condition picked up

  • Item retrieval from anywhere including within residence or a storage unit.

  • Disassembly of items that need it (except doors, cabinets, or lighting).

  • Pick-up fee reflects the operating costs and is much smaller than a usual moving company or junk hauler fee (fee is not tax deductible, but donated items are).

What donations do we accept?

The ReStore accepts new, used, discontinued or surplus building materials, appliances and home furnishings from companies, contractors, retailers and individuals.

​

All donated items must be in good, clean, working, and sellable condition.

Items We DO Accept:

  • Appliances (Large & Small) 10 yrs. old or newer

  • Brick, Block and Hardscaping (April to October only)

  • Cabinets

  • Doors

  • Door Knobs and Lock Sets

  • Electronics

  • Flooring

  • Furniture and Home Accents

  • Handicap Bath Tubs

  • Hardware

  • Home Décor such as wall art, vases and home accessories

  • Housewares such as dishes, glassware, pots and pans

  • Lighting/Ceiling Fans

  • Lumber

  • Metal bed Frames

  • Patio Furniture

  • Plumbing

  • Roofing (packaged), Siding, Gutters

  • Sheet Goods (in half sheets or larger)

  • Tools (indoor/outdoor)

Items We DO NOT Accept:

  • Area Rugs with stains or pet odors

  • Baby Gear (Cribs, Swings, Pack and Play)

  • Broken items

  • Cast Iron Tubs (Claw Foot Accepted)

  • Children’s Toys

  • China cabinets, Hutches, Breakfronts

  • Clothing and Bedding

  • Commercial or Industrial Doors

  • Curtains, Blinds / Shades, Drapes

  • Damaged Building Materials

  • Doors with scratches or holes

  • Furniture with rips, stains, burns or odors

  • Glass shower doors

  • Hazardous Chemicals

  • Kerosene Heaters

  • Large Entertainment Center / Wall Units

  • Large desks (over 5’)

  • Lumber (old or less than 4’)

  • Mattresses and Box Springs

  • Molding or Trim (less than 4’)

  • Non-working items, items needing repairs

  • Paint/Stain/Thinner/Turpentine

  • Pianos (W.110th St. drop offs only – call ahead)

  • Propane Tanks

  • Slate Pool Tables (other Pool Tables accepted)

  • Sliding Patio Doors

  • Tires (brand new tires accepted)

  • Tube TVs / Computer Monitors / Copiers / Printers

  • Unfinished carpeting

  • Unframed Glass Mirrors
